The Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) Acceptability Study

Cardea has worked with the UCSF Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health to roll out The Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive Acceptability (LARC) Study. The study is a national effort to train all levels of staff in 20 Planned Parenthood intervention sites, to compare to 20 control sites about the impact of staff knowledge on client's acceptability of LARC methods. Cardea staff traveled throughout the country to train front line staff about recent LARC research, medical eligibility criteria for the methods and counseling approaches to ensure informed consent.
