Comprehensive Sexuality Education Training Consultant

We are looking for additional training consultants to increase our capacity to provide support in both Northern California (with a focus in the South and East Bay) and in Southern California, with the addition of state-wide and occasionally national travel. Consultants will facilitate our two-day curricula teacher trainings, school-based parent information events and our parent educational workshops on how to talk with your kids about sex. This would be an event-based consultant position.

What are the minimum requirements?
You must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an academic institution.

Do I have to be enrolled in a specific undergraduate or graduate degree program?
Cardea provides training, organizational development, and research and evaluation services to health and human service organizations. However, a degree in a related field is not essential. We welcome applicants with diverse educational backgrounds.

Can I receive academic credit?
Cardea encourages students to receive academic credit and is willing to work with the sponsoring institutions’ requirements.

Does Cardea offer stipends?
Opportunities are typically unpaid. However, small stipends may be available, based on the project and resources. Relocation fees are not available.

What is the standard schedule?
Cardea will determine the number of hours per week, based on the project and your availability.
